Welcome to the Methodist Church in Lancashire
Transforming Lives and Communities

Lancashire Methodist District Year of Prayer, 2012

On 1st January the District launched an initiative to help those across Lancashire engage in prayer
through creative ways.
To discover for yourself what is happening across the district take a look at our Year of Prayer page which
details some of the events taking place throughout the year.
This is a rolling programme so please check back and also contact the local churches to see how you can be a part of the prayer
revival across this region.
Prayer Journal
Following on from our focus last year on a 'Year of the Bible', this year we turn our focus to a 'Year of Prayer'.
We have also produced a booklet/ journal, called Transforming Prayer: A Journal for the Year 2012.
There should be copies of this available at your local Methodist church, or
please contact Margaret Squire in the District Office
(tel: 01772 721527) if you wish to enquire about additional copies.
Alternatively, you can download the Prayer Journal in pdf format. Note: this is a rather large file - 9.9MB - and
would require 136 pieces of A5 paper to print.
You can also downloadwould a pre-prepared 'booklet ordering' - great for printing double-sided and
stapling together yourself as a booklet, choose(requires only 34 pieces of A4 paper to print).
The prayer journal contains several suggestions of books that
different people have recommended and which focus on different aspects of prayer.
You might like to write and submit a review of one or more of these books, or make your own suggestion!
 2012
The Inspire event that took place on Saturday 25th February 2012 at Runshaw College was a great success.
You can listen again to guest speaker Roy Searle by downloading the audio recordings.
